Here you will find information about Property Management

The sixth is the Affordable Rental Program, which includes housing management as well as other development programs. Through this particular component CRC rehabilitates properties for affordable rental units which it then owns and manages and ultimately rents as affordable housing. For those who are not in a position to own their own home, affordable rental units are a desirable alternative, especially in areas close to Boston. “Having affordable rental units … grant(s) individuals the mobility necessary to pursue better jobs or better opportunities in education. Much of the literature on unemployment cites “spatial mismatch,” or living a significant distance from job and transportation centers, as a major problem for low-income households. Access to jobs and transportation is necessary for success; renters, particularly immigrants and single-parent households, seek many of the same opportunities available to those living in areas where single-family homeownership dominates.”(*) Beyond benefiting those living in these affordable rental units, affordable rental housing benefits the entire community. “For some communities, locating both market-rate and affordable rental housing in a certain area can attract companies that are looking for a diverse group of employees and clientele. Many businesses are interested in hiring a stable workforce that does not have to travel excessively long distances to get to their jobs because of the risk of losing those that do so to other job opportunities that become available at a closer location. Also, some larger businesses need to be able to fill a variety of positions that are open to a range of income levels. Such companies need to know that they can find this diverse set of employees in a particular community before they decide to locate there.”(**)

From the First Time Home Buyers Project to the Affordable Rental Program, the unique combination of these six programs is necessary for CRC to carry out its overall mission, but we are only able to do so with the support of a strong dedicated group of community partners and supporters, like The COMPANY.
