Money and Energy Saving Solutions for Chelsea Residents

Help Chelsea Meet the Energy-Saving Goals

The sponsors of Mass Save are seeking cities and towns interested in committing to set energy-saving goals in both residential and small business communities. Goals would include energy assessments and residential energy efficiency measures completed in a calendar year, starting January 1, 2021. Awards are awarded based on goals achieved by December 31, 2021.

How It Works

Step 1: Learn about energy-saving opportunities.

Step 2: Start with a Home Energy Assessment. 

  • No Cost Online Home Energy Assessment: A self-guided online home energy use survey. You will be guided upon completion of the online assessment.
  • No Cost Virtual Home Energy Assessment: Work with an Energy Specialist over the phone. Provide them with either a live video tour of your home or pictures of potential items/areas that could benefit from improvement. To sign up, visit MassSave.com/HEA or call 866-527-7283.
  • Home Energy Assessment*: In-home, in-person assessment provided by an Energy Specialist.

  • Instant savings products
  • Weatherization improvements
  • Product & appliance rebates
  • Heating & cooling system rebates

3 Types of Savings/Incentives

  1. Instant savings products such as LED lightbulbs, Smart power strips, Smart thermostats, and/or Showerhead and faucet aerators
  2. Weatherization: No-cost air sealing and Insulation improvements 
  3. Equipment and Appliance Upgrade Rebates* to keep your home comfortable:-Heating and cooling systems-Heat pumps-Central AC-Natural Gas, Propane, and Oil Furnaces and Boilers-Lighting and appliances*Can be directly obtained through a contractor or in-store purchase
